Thanks to many requests from my fabulous Spokane clients, I will be making a trip back to Spokane next month to do some portrait sessions!
Saturday, October 9th I will be booking sessions beginning at 8am. In order to maximize my time, these sessions will all take place in Manito Park.
LIMITED SPACE IS AVAILABLE, so contact me ASAP to reserve your spot. Since I’m traveling specifically for these sessions, your session fee ($100) will be due when you book your session and can be payed by Paypal (credit/debit) or you may mail me a check.
As promised, there will be incentives for booking one of these special sessions!

A few months ago I did a little give-away and Nikki was the winner. She decided that for her free session, she would gather a bunch of her girlfriends and have a little fun.
We all met at Rockwood Bakery here on the South Hill (thank you Rockwood!) and the girls obviously had a good time. I’ll tell you what, these were some stylish ladies! I honestly think that collectively they had about 20 pairs of shoes on hand. There were laundry baskets filled with scarves and sweaters and there was even a “fake-eyelash application” station set-up in the bakery. I was absolutely loving it. What a fun group of girls!
I almost forgot. . . to add a little extra something to the pictures, the girls each had a hand-made flower from a local store called Anemone. They say that it’s located next to Nordstroms in the downtown mall. (As soon as I can ditch the little one’s I plan on stopping by. Kids+Beautiful hand-made things=Disaster) The girls were so sweet that they let me pick one to take home. It is so pretty!
So ladies, I hope you had a blast and I hope you like what we ended up with!
I’m offering a few new products that I’ll showcase over the next little while.
The first is something that I’ve been really excited about.
These “lay-flat” albums have no middle gutter, so there is no interruption between pages. This is beautiful for full-page spreads which end up being 8×16. They are press-printed on 4 different paper options: watercolor, linen, recycled, and pearl (at an extra charge). I ordered my book in the linen paper and it gives the pages a beautiful finish. The pages are mounted on thick black card-stock and have a thick, heavy feel. The cover is a custom photo spread that has a protective coating (perfect for those sticky-fingered family members). You may choose from a variety of cover options as well, if you don’t want a photo cover.
These albums are a great way to enjoy the images from your session. An album like this will give you something beautiful to look at for years to come!

On another, more personal note. . . Scarlett wore her St. Patty’s Day dress and hat to church yesterday. I’m pretty sure that it is not necessary for a little girl to have a St. Patty’s day dress, but I’d already bought her the sweetest little Easter dress when I came upon this gem at a local consignment store. Ain’t she cute??
In fact, I think I spent less than 5 minutes capturing these sweet shots – so how about a mini-session for your little one?

Well, first of all. . .
IT’S A GIRL!!!
We are both so happy! I think that two little girls just less than 2 years apart will be so much fun. (Am I crazy?)
And on to the important part! I wrote all of the girl-guessers down and had Dylan draw a name. He kept saying, “But Mom, I can’t read what they say!” Duh!
So, Nikki Reed is the lucky winner of a photo session this spring! Yay Nikki! Are you as excited as I am??
On another equally exciting note: This morning I am off to shoot at the Top Stitch which is a local fabric store. Well, really in my opinion, it is THE ONLY local fabric store. They carry an amazing array from my favorite fabric designers like Anna Maria Horner, Amy Butler, and Heather Bailey to name a few. They also carry the cutest patterns and offer classes for beginners and seamstresses alike. Honestly this store is my own little slice of heaven so I couldn’t be happier that they’ve asked me to shoot some photos for their new website. Wish me luck!
I’ve been wanting to do a session give-away for fun sometime this year and I finally came up with a fun way to do it. As some of you may know, I’m expecting a baby in July and this Friday we’ll have the ultrasound which will (hopefully) tell us the gender of said baby.
So here’s the contest. . . You enter a comment guessing the gender of the baby (its 50-50 people). Then after the ultrasound I’ll draw a name out of the correct commenters. That person will win a free session sometime this spring. The session will include up to 2 hours shooting and a mini-disk of your 10 favorite images sized to print up to 5×7. Does that sound like a good deal? By the way the guessing will have to end Sunday night at midnight. Then I’ll post the results on Monday the 8th. So if you know me well and will want the info before Monday then you better vote soon.
