This weekend we went up to the Skagit Valley Tulip Festival and it was beautiful! The sun was shining and the flowers were in full-bloom. Unfortunately, the rest of the Seattle metro area had the same idea and we were in horrible traffic the whole way.
We checked out some of the tulip fields and then went over to a little produce stand and ate wood-fired pizza and delicious ice cream. Could you ask for anything more?
Of course, 3 o’clock in the afternoon isn’t the ideal time of the day to shoot in open sun but I’m glad to have these pictures anyway. And if you’ve ever wondered why photographers don’t shoot in mid-day sun it’s because of all the shadows it casts on faces and such. Now don’t you feel informed.
