Lila Mae is the sweetest little thing ever. She was wide awake for the first little while which is not ideal, but after much coaxing and a little milk she went right to sleep and once she was out there was no waking her. She was like putty in our hands. This wasn’t a full session, just an afternoon with a friend and her new baby. And when my little baby woke up from her nap, I swear she had tripled in size. (Holding a 6lb newborn for a while will really mess up your perspective on babies!)

Dylan is my one and only little boy. He was my first baby and will always be so special to me. Getting pictures of him is hard because he generally doesn’t like to be the subject of pictures, and unlike his little sister, he doesn’t often dress up and do things that make me think, “oh man, I’ve got to get my camera.” So when he came home from school one day with a loose tooth, I knew that my moments with his beautiful little boy smile were limited and a full-on photo shoot was scheduled for the next free morning. The tooth still hasn’t made it’s way out – that will be cause for another photo shoot- but I’m glad I didn’t wait because it’s only a matter of time.
Trish and Alex were the cutest couple I’ve ever seen. I’m not exaggerating. I honestly don’t think I could have dreamed up a more adorable couple and the icing on the cake is that they are completely cool. We met at Golden Gardens on a beautiful (if chilly) Saturday morning and found some really nice little spots to shoot. Trish brought along a little picnic basket and some Jones Soda for them to enjoy, which was especially cool since they will be Mr. and Mrs. Jones in a few months!
By the way, if you ever want to see a bazillion sailboats head to Golden Gardens bright and early on a Saturday.
This is my favorite shot.
And finally, I love this sequence.
