The Crockett family met me in Seattle’s famous Pike Place Market for a fun family photo session on a beautiful and clear Saturday morning.  We hit some of Pike’s more low-key locations to avoid the crowds an urban vibe for their shoot.  I just love the texture the torn and peeling posters create on the colorful wall that became the backdrop for a family shot.  And who can resist the gum wall?  Don’t worry, we made sure little Jayne didn’t walk away chewing anything.  :)   And speaking of Miss Jayne, I’m not sure I’ve seen a more beautiful little girl in my life.  She was adorable in every way and knew exactly how to work the camera.  Thanks so much Carlee for giving me the pleasure of spending a Saturday morning at Pike with your beautiful family!!

I love doing newborns.  Love, love.  They’re so sweet and while you might expect it to be stressful, I find newborn sessions to be the least stressful of all.  I just love shushing them and rocking their little bodies to sleep.  Asher was no different.  He slept like a champ and hardly cried.  His big brother is perhaps the cutest little boy I’ve ever laid eyes on and he was equally sweet.  I’m not sure how his parents ever say no to those baby blues.

We had a little get-together for Stella’s first birthday.  Nothing huge, but a reason for me to decorate and bake.  :)

And sew, and pull out my vintage glassware, buy fresh flowers. . .  oh man, I love a party.

These cupcakes were amazing.  But, if you decide to make them I would suggest that you pull the little bag of silica gel beads OUT of the freeze-dried strawberries before you put them in the blender.  On my first attempt, I opened the blender lid to find a tiny empty paper baggie that said DO NOT EAT sitting on top of my strawberries.  Not cool.  (Don’t worry, guests I made a second batch.)

And THIS is my reward.  The best (albeit blurry) kissy-face ever.

I am WAAAY behind on blogging, but better late than never I hope!

Stella had a birthday!  That’s right, MY baby is now one.  I’m still in shock.

To mark the occasion we did a Cake Smash photo session.  These are so fun.  I used some decor from her birthday party (which I will be blogging shortly) to decorate the backdrop.

I just love her little smiles at the beginning, and her fake crying at the end is priceless.

This picture says, “No more cake, Mommy!”
