Lacey and Erich are a fun Seattle couple who happen to be getting married in Idaho, just outside of the town I grew up in.  After meeting up for a very “west-side” engagement session, I am really excited to shoot their rural “east-side” wedding this summer.  Okay technically, the wedding is in Idaho like I said, but I think in a very “west-side/east-side” sort of way.  And let the record show that I grew up in Washington.  No offense, Lacey.  :)

Back to the pictures. . .

I met Lacey and Erich at the Mukilteo ferry port (landing. . . beach. . . I’m not sure exactly what it’s called.)  We braved the cold, wet, “west-side” weather and got some great shots of them at the beach at sunset.  They tell me that they used to go down to that area a lot when they first started dating, to enjoy the water, and probably kiss a bit.  They also brought along their *adorable* dog, Henry.  I got to cuddle with him a bit in the car and kiss his cute pug face.  I really hope he’ll be at the wedding.  Animals are such characters.

We finished up our evening with a little bonfire, which Erich had built in record time.  This is something they frequently do when they visit the beach, so it seemed fitting.  Oh, and it was stinking cold.  The fire pictures are pure magic.  I love the way the fire lights up their faces.  And I love that we payed a bit of homage to the beginning of their relationship.  It’s nice to think back to when things started. . . back when we were all kids who just wanted to kiss a bit.

This is my FAVORITE shot.

Lainey and Leah belong to a family we know through school and church.  They are perhaps the most adorable girls I have ever known.  I have the pleasure of singing with Lainey every Sunday at church and she is such a joy.  Her little curls just melt my heart (and make me jealous for Scarlett).  Leah has recently turned 18 months old and is the sweetest little sister.  I loved seeing the girls interact with each other during our little session.  They were just so sweet!

The first shot is my fave.  Perfection.
