This is another Spokane session.  They just keep coming!

I met this family just over a year ago when I shot Ava’s newborn photos.  Now Ava’s all grown up and soooo cute.  This time we got some nice shots of the whole family.  I especially love these guys because they are so laid-back.  I really think we could have been friends.  :)

This is sweet little Ava who I had the pleasure of photographing when she was brand new.  Now she’s almost walking!  My does time fly when it’s measured by a baby.

The Littles {FAMILY}

June 1, 2010

Last week I had the opportunity to photograph the Little family and it was one of my favorite sessions of all time.  This family is so sweet.  The girls were absolutely precious and Andrea and John were just about the nicest people ever.  Add to that PERFECT light and you have the makings of a wonderful evening.

We met at Manito in the Perennial Garden and then took a little side-trip to a more natural area of the park with beautiful tall grass and bare rocks.  The sun was just going down and we got the most beautiful back-light which absolutely made my day.  Then the girls came across some untouched dandelions – the full, perfectly round ones that are just begging to be blown to smithereens.  I had so many good shots from this session that I had a really hard time narrowing them down!  I love it when I have that problem.  :)

The Leavers {FAMILY}

May 27, 2010

A few months ago a very nice woman contacted me about gifting a photo session to her cousin’s family.  She spoke very highly of Randy and Maria so I was really looking forward to working with them.

I met the Leaver family met at Manito Park on a beautiful evening and I was pleased to find that they were relaxed, happy, and so nice.  That has to be one of my favorite things about this job!  It is so fun to spend time with families that are genuinely kind and loving.  I always go home from sessions like that with a smile on my face, excited to be with my own family.

Randy and Maria have two beautiful little boys, Paul Michael and Brenton.  They are such handsome little ones and they were very cooperative, even though it was getting close to bedtime.

All in all, it was a really nice evening and I think we got some beautiful shots.  Isn’t this just about the nicest gift for a family with young children?  I hope they think so!

This group of siblings wanted to treat their mother to a family portrait for Mother’s Day.  Is that sweet or what?  During the session they were saying that they think the last family portraits were taken when they were little, and with 6 kids in their family I can understand why!

This family is the type of family who can give each other a hard time and all have a laugh about it.  It was fun to see them interact and enjoy each others’ company.  It’s clear that a good sense of humor runs in the family genes.

The little guy in yellow is the one and only grandchild and every one of his aunts and uncles adores him.  How could they resist those big brown eyes, right?

Thanks to Jenna for organizing everyone (not a small task, I’m sure) and for having me along!  I hope these make Mom happy!

I’ve been wanting to try my hand at something a little different and these two cuties fit the bill!  Camille, the owner of these darling dogs, is in dental school with my husband Brad so we’ll get to see them every once in a while in the future.

Mya and Clyde are English Bulldogs and boy are they cute.  Mya is the big sister and she’s super-friendly.  Clyde is just a tiny little thing and he likes to follow Mya around pretty much wherever she goes.  It was really fun to have a dog in the house again and little Clyde gave me the worst case of puppy fever!

Girlfriends

May 3, 2010

A few months ago I did a little give-away and Nikki was the winner.  She decided that for her free session, she would gather a bunch of her girlfriends and have a little fun.

We all met at Rockwood Bakery here on the South Hill (thank you Rockwood!) and the girls obviously had a good time.  I’ll tell you what, these were some stylish ladies!  I honestly think that collectively they had about 20 pairs of shoes on hand.  There were laundry baskets filled with scarves and sweaters and there was even a “fake-eyelash application” station set-up in the bakery.  I was absolutely loving it.  What a fun group of girls!

I almost forgot. . . to add a little extra something to the pictures, the girls each had a hand-made flower from a local store called Anemone.  They say that it’s located next to Nordstroms in the downtown mall.  (As soon as I can ditch the little one’s I plan on stopping by.  Kids+Beautiful hand-made things=Disaster) The girls were so sweet that they let me pick one to take home.  It is so pretty!

So ladies, I hope you had a blast and I hope you like what we ended up with!

Helen Ann {LITTLE ONE}

April 27, 2010

I got to photograph Helen Ann when she was {BRAND NEW} and a little later with her Daddy.

This time her parents took advantage of the Spring Mini-sessions and I was shocked at how much bigger she has gotten!  I was also excited to try out my new pink backdrop.  I think it’s perfect for the little girlies.  What do you think?

The Calderwoods {FAMILY}

April 19, 2010

You might remember these guys from last summer. . . or from my blog header.  (look up)

We had a session last Saturday morning and when I woke up that morning to the sound of rain, I was not a happy lady.  Our session was for 9:45 (so that I could get to Dylan’s soccer game in time) and the weather forecast said that we had a chance of rain until 12:00.  Luckily, we didn’t feel a drop!  I’m booked every Saturday until the my “maternity leave” so there was no chance to reschedule.  Whew!  I will say that the ground was a little squishy though.  :)

The littlest Calderwood is a spunky little thing.  She loves to be busy and on the move.  She was so fun to photograph, though!  She likes sticks, and flowers, and the umbrella I brought along.  She still wasn’t sure about me, though.  :)

I just love little girls at this age- so full of life.  Also, check out those pig-tails!  My Scarlett would be so jealous.

THE SPRING STUDIO SPECIAL IS OVER.  (sorry!)

I’ve been thinking it would be fun to do a little Spring Special. . .

Mini sessions for your little egg-hunters in their Easter fancies!

Mini Session includes:

20-30 minutes with your little one at the park or in my little studio

5 image Disk – you pick your fave 5 photos

Price:  $60

Contact me to book your mini-session soon!

On another, more personal note. . . Scarlett wore her St. Patty’s Day dress and hat to church yesterday.  I’m pretty sure that it is not necessary for a little girl to have a St. Patty’s day dress, but I’d already bought her the sweetest little Easter dress when I came upon this gem at a local consignment store.  Ain’t she cute??

In fact, I think I spent less than 5 minutes capturing these sweet shots – so how about a mini-session for your little one?
